BMI vs Body fat
We have a heard about BMI, especially in Singapore. BMI stand for Body Mass Index, BMI is an estimation of body fat based on the height and weight. It does not measure body fat directly but use an equation to estimate it and determine whether a person is that is an unhealthy or healthy weight. This indicator often to help people to know whether they are in a normal weight, underweight or overweight; depending on the unit km/m², Of course, the higher the value indicated the higher the level of obese. The range of BM I for underweight normally indicate that this person has a BMI of 18.5 km/m² or below, normal weight is from 18.5 km/m² to 24.9 km/m² and overweight will be 25 km/m² to 30 km/m² and obese will be beyond 30 km/m². This is a very simple method for everyone to follow.

But BMI also have the own limitations. If your body muscle mass is high, your body weight will be high as well but if you calculate using BMI, you will find that you most probably will be overweight.
